Ajuga australis, 'Austral Bugle' is an attractive mat forming ground cover. Great for those difficult shady areas, or under trees and shrubs. With its dark green foliage and spikes of mauve flowers in summer. it's suited to most soil types, coastal and inland areas, and once established it will tolerate dry periods and frost.
