Acacia fimbriata or Fringed Wattle is naturally found from Sydney to southern Queensland, occurring on the coast and in the tablelands. It prefers well drained, moist sandy loams in a semi-shaded to full sun protected positions. Once established it has a low water requirement.

Flowering in late winter to early spring, it produced masses of small yellow, scented ball-shaped flowers followed by pod-like fruit.

Drought tolerant, and excellent in frost prone areas.
